I bought the men’s version for myself and this one for my wife.

I have bought my wife a bunch of watches over the years and they all end up in a drawer.

She loves her old Eddie Bauer (Wenger Swiss Military) watch with stainless steel band. She wears that all the time because it’s virtually indestructible.

But when you are getting dressed up and want something classy, sophisticated and understated, this is it. She now wears this watch when she is out in public. You need to stay out of the water with the leather strap, but that’s about it.

And, if anyone should ever ask about the design of the watch, you can always start a conversation about the Bauhaus movement.

The owner of many timepieces, I sought a simple, classic timepiece to round out my collection. With a 26mm dial, the ladies’ vesion is quite small, but suprisingly easy to read. The strap is soft, but is rather short, when compared with contemporary watch straps. If you have larger, than a 6.5 inch wrist, the band will be too small, and you will have to switch it out, which you probably might want to do anyway. The strap does not seem to be the sturdiest available. In fact, larger women might want to check out the men’s version of this watch instead. The water resistance is only 3ATM or appoximately 100 feet–do not swim or bathe with this watch. You will be safe with splashes of water from rain drops or washing your hands, providing the crown is in. On a positive note, the watch is equipped with a sapphire crystal, which is not easly scratched,so it should look “new” for a long time. Even though the watch is suitable for many occasions, I wouldn’t recommend it as a sport watch. Overall, the Museum watch is a good buy for those seeking an entry level Movado that is classic and timeless.

Movado Men’s Classic Museum Stainless Steel Watch #0604230 Review

I’ve had this watch for a little over 3 weeks now…

The best features I love:

- Thin. It’s not a hugh honking piece of metal like most watches out there. If you’re a thin, sleek man, or you dress that way, then this is probably the watch for you. I can’t see beefier guys wearing this watch. It would look out of place with their physique.

- Stylish. I’ve gotten about 4 comments on my watch so far. Everyone recognizes the Movado look. It helps to boost my ego.

- Easy to read. Yes. It’s not that hard to read. You just need to think a little more about where the hour hand is, but it’s become automatic for me now. And if you tilt the watch just right, you can read it in low light conditions because of the shiny, metal hands.

Some things I don’t like:

- Smudges. The face takes up fingerprints like the front of an iPhone. Can’t keep it clean. erg.

- Strap wear. I’m dubious if the strap will be able to handle a year of daily wearing. We’ll see.

Other things:

- Not as small as you think. Yes it’s not a large faced men’s watch, but it is most defintiely larger than a large woman’s watch. Like I said before, it’s sleek, so buy that if that’s your look.
